Whether you’re new to bullet journaling or you’re a pro, we all love to save a few bucks. If you’re like me and have more than one bullet journal the money spent can quickly add up! Check out these bullet journals on a budget.

Let’s compare 4 bullet journals under $15 so you can find the one that’s perfect for you!

Now, before we begin keep in mind that each of these offers something different. You can’t get everything you want in a bullet journal (under $15) most of the time. To be honest, you likely won’t get everything you want in a bullet journal that costs $30. Remember, when purchasing bullet journals on a budget you don’t have to sacrifice quality for the price.

Minimalism Art

NOTE: (UPDATED 6-2-2019 I’ve noticed that this bullet journal has been unavailable for quite a while. So, I decided to do some research. After reading through some reviews a few people were saying that their dots weren’t even. After looking at my own, I can confirm that this is true. It appears that they are aligned at the beginning of the journal but towards the middle and end the dots gradually seem to become uneven. I still really like this journal, if you aren’t too concerned about the dot issue you may still want to consider this journal. If you MUST have perfect alignment, don’t buy this journal (when/if it’s available again). If they fix this issue, I’ll update it here.

If you’re looking for a modern style bullet journal with tons of features and quality, this is the way to go. The Minimalism Art Bullet Journal has become one of my favorite journals, this is the one I’m currently using for personal use.

  • This one also has a simple design, however, Minimalism Art does offer some patterned bullet journals, they aren’t too crazy but they do offer a little personality. I like that they package their journals in an elegant yet simple box, this protects the journal and you can reuse the box. (I put my bullet journal stencils in there so they don’t get bent).
  • The paper quality of this journal is also 120 GSM. The paper color is white, and the quality is great for markers and pens.
  • Size: A5
  • Features for this bullet journal include 2 bookmark ribbons, an elastic closure band, a back pocket, a pre-printed index page, and numbered pages.

The only negatives I can think of for this bullet journal is the lack of a pen holder. This could be a deal-breaker for some but I don’t really use them. While the GSM of this bullet journal is 120 some people have noted that they still see some ghosting. I do see this but I don’t personally think it’s a big issue when considering the price and overall quality. (I do have less ghosting with the Lemome bullet journal compared to this one despite the same GSM, not sure if this is due to the paper color or not).

The negatives for this journal include bleeding through pages, and some binding issues. There is also a lack of variety as far as colors and design patterns, some people may not like only having the option of black.

The cons of this bullet journal include the lack of a pen holder and the coating on the pages. The coating can slow down the drying time of your markers and pens, which could lead to smearing.

There are many more bullet journal’s out there under $15, it’s important to find one for you that offers quality and the features you want. I’ve just narrowed it down to a few that I personally use or that have numerous positive reviews.

*These journals were priced under $15 at the time of writing this post. Prices are subject to change at any time.
